FAQs

What is Pilgrim and what does it do?

Pilgrim Relief Society is a non-profit, charitable organization that works to bring aid to the most remote tribes and communities on the planet. Pilgrim Relief Society works to create sustainable futures and help preserve the culture and lifestyle of remote, indigenous populations. Pilgrim is engaged in projects such as farming, agriculture and education. Pilgrim also works to provide remote communities with adequate water supplies and medical care.

How can I volunteer for Pilgrim?

Pilgrim Relief Society runs short trips each year with volunteer groups between the months of July to September. Generally these groups are organized into construction and medical projects. Positions are available for long term volunteering for tradesmen, medical/dental professionals, teachers and media personnel.

Can I donate to a specific project?

Yes. If you desire to support a particular project you can select 'target your donation' in the final step of your Paypal donation form. Just enter in a desired destination for your donation, (eg. mosquito nets), and this information will be passed on to our administration staff. If you would like to make a direct transfer into one of our national accounts, simply include a desired destination for the donation in your transfer description/reference.
